The Dim the Lights feature allows you to see individual photos in a larger size while also hiding other page elements. In this view, you can arrow through all of the photos in a gallery or Collection.
To view the Dim the Lights feature:
- Navigate to a photo page.
- Move your mouse over the image and a menu will appear.
- Choose Dim the lights.
To exit this view click to select the 'X' in the top, right corner or hit the escape key on your keyboard.
Slideshow
The Slideshow feature is an excellent way to browse the photos. Slideshows can be customized by you to suit your needs and preferences!

Slideshow customizations include:
- Background shade
- Caption (hide/show)
- Shooting information (hide/show)
- Slide changing speed
- Transitions (hide/show)
- Keyboard shortcuts
Starting a slideshow:
In a gallery page, click the Slideshow button next to in the top right of any gallery or photo page.
The Slideshow will launch in full screen mode. To exit the Slideshow, press ESC to exit full screen mode.
While in the Slideshow viewing window, move your mouse. A menu will appear with all of the Slideshow controls. You will be able to change these options.
1. To control background shade
- In the Slideshow viewing window locate the group of squares at the top of the screen.
- Move your mouse over the squares to change the color of the background.
2. To display Titles and Captions
Using the Slideshow Menu:
- Click the Options at the top right-hand side of the screen.
- Check Auto-Show Titles and Captions
- A pop-up display on the right hand side of the viewing screen will announce captions and titles as each photo is displayed. This display also allows for turning this feature on and off.
Note: If no caption or titles have been entered the auto-display will not display anything.
Using the Person Icon:
- While in the Slideshow viewing window, mouse over the Person Icon on the right-hand side. A pop-up box will appear with all of the caption and title information.
Note: When moving your mouse over the Person Icon, the pop-up box will remain and the slideshow will pause until you move your mouse away from the icon.
3. To display shooting information
- Click the Options at the top right-hand side of the screen.
- Check Show EXIF Information.
- A pop-up display on the right hand side of the viewing screen will display the EXIF information. If EXIF information is disabled or not available, the text will read No EXIF information is available.
Note: The default Slideshow settings do not display Shooting Information
4. To turn transitions on and off
With Transitions enabled photos will fade in and out as your viewers navigate through the Slideshow. With Transitions disabled photos will navigate in the same way as in your galleries.
- Click the Options at the top right-hand side of the screen.
- Click to check or un-check Show Transitions.
Note: The default Slideshow setting for Transitions is enabled.
5. To control speed
- Click the Options at the top right-hand side of the screen.
- Adjust the playback speed using the radio buttons.
Note: The default speed is fast, which is about 3-4 seconds per slide.
